The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is an organization that supports and encourages women in their pursuit of engineering. Becoming a part of a professional society like SWE is an important part of developing into an engineer, and many young women join a collegiate section as soon as they start studying for an engineering degree in college.

Jean Garlisi is a retired business consultant with a broad range of experiences in program management, enterprise architecture and technology assignments with international management experience in IT, manufacturing, quality and new product development. She is the administrator of the Laura Schuler Cossette Charitable Fund. Her passions include golf, skiing, pickleball, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.
Jean Oviatt-Rothman is the PreK-6th Grade STEM Curriculum Coordinator for the Acton-Boxborough Regional School District. Prior to working in the curriculum department, she worked for ten years as an elementary classroom teacher in Acton-Boxborough.
Grace Charron is a senior at Maynard High School. Being part of the MABLE SWENext Team means being a good role model to young girls and helping them express themselves and explore their passions.
Alissa Fernald is a chemical and biological engineer working in the biotechnology industry. For more than 10 years, her focus has been on upstream process development and other chemistry, manufacturing and controls aspects of protein and vaccine biologics development. A passion for helping others and the amazing applications of science in medicine, drove her focus of study, and she loves talking about all the cool things happening in the biotechnology industry today. She also loves walking her dog with her partner, and listening to music.
Jodi Ashmun is an Engineering Fellow, with over 19 years of Systems Engineering industry experience. She is responsible for integration and test of large-scale government systems. Engineering lets her be creative and make the world a better place. She has a passion for sharing her interest in STEM with students through hands-on activities. She also loves spending time with her family, swimming and travelling.
